Property Auctions and Quick Sales
Property auctions may not be the best solution or option if you are requiring selling your property quickly to avoid repossession.
We have listed a couple of bonafide reasons why it is wiser to avoid property auctions: You will have to advise several weeks in advance if you want your property to be included in the any property auctions in the UK. You cannot just turn up on the day and request it be auctioned. Properties tend not to reach their reserve price in their first auction, and so may remain unsold on the day. It actually takes up to and over twenty eight working days to complete the whole sale. You will need to pay the auction house their commission, plus Value Added Tax.
An auctioneer can use his judgement, so if your property falls just short of its valuation, he may still sanction the sale. So if you are looking for a quick house sale to stop repossession, please avoid property auctions as they cannot sell your house as quick and easy as we buy them.
